PR & EVENT CASE STUDIES
Huntington’s disease is a complex neurological condition with symptoms that typically begin to develop between the ages of 30 and 50. Scottish Huntington’s Association is the only charity in the country exclusively dedicated to supporting families impacted by HD. SHA does this through a team of HD Specialists, a world leading team of Specialist Youth Advisors and a Financial Wellbeing Service. The lifeline services SHA provides make the difference between families coping and not coping.
Scottish Huntington's Association asked me to record a charity Skydive?. The brief was to ?capture? the story of the volunteers preparation and emotion of the event ?, whilst providing a selection of images for future marketing?. Despite delays in weather I was able to deliver images showing the fun ?and excitement ?of the day that hopefully encourage future volunteers to take part in similar?? events.
“ John supported a few of our events and captured some amazing moments with his photography. This gave the charity some wonderful footage to use in their various publications. John was very calm and relaxed helping to make people feel at ease with his presence. He also demonstrated an interest in the work of Scottish Huntington’s Association. I would recommend John Kerr Foto to any person or business ”. - Linda Winters, Fundraising Manager

Founded by a Kick Boxing world champion, Robert who holds a Professional World & European Golden Belt as well as many other accolades. Robert McCallum endeavors to bring his extensive experience in order to help students achieve and exceed their goals.
When Robert hosted a charity event in honour of the child bereavement charity Brightest Star he required a photographer to record the event at short notice, but still be able to show the drama and excitement of a Kickboxing evening. Using a number of techniques developed at similar events I was able to deliver images 24 hours later for distribution to social platforms and for future marketing collateral.
" John was incredibly professional, approachable, and open to suggestions on ideas throughout the event / evening. John covered pictures from terrific angles and worked tirelessly to ensure his vision of what he was looking to achieve was in fact achieved. Bala Sport is a co-operative set up to expand the availability and use of ethically produced Fairtrade sports balls in the UK and beyond.
Their key role is to raise awareness of the issues around Fairtrade sports balls and how they help make a difference in the lives of some of the estimated 40,000 sports balls workers in Sialkot, Pakistan.
Bala Sport asked me to work with them on a number of key projects. As official sponsor of The Homeless World Cup in Glasgow, we worked to catalog the many images from the games. I created updated product images for a new brochure, and shot press images of a new futsal football for launch in late 2016.
“Bala has built up a collection of thousands of photos and we were a bit overwhelmed. It was great to engage John as picture editor and he presented us with selections tailored for different uses. John works very methodically and it was great to have our photos managed in a very professional way. We also asked John to shoot some action shots of our new futsal balls which we’re delighted with.” - Angus Coull, Joint Managing Director.

On Friday 27th January Finding Your Feet hosted a sponsored firewalk at their office at Skypark Glasgow which turned out to be an exhilarating and extreme event. Finding your feet were looking for a number of images that would capture the event but also to have them available quickly to distribute on their social media platforms and out to volunteers and supporters who attended.

In 2014 Nextbike UK launched in June in time for the Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow, which saw millions of visitors to the city. As part of that launch I was commissioned to create fun images of the bikes being used in around Glasgow and reflect the spirit of the games.
" John supported a creative launch campaign for our client Nextbike UK in Glasgow. We made an unusual request to photograph a whole team of people dressed in Morph suits riding bicycles around Glasgow and he did a great job.
